    Coy Pond Offices

    Location: Bournemouth, Dorset

    Client: Coy Pond Developments

    Completed September 2007 this project consisted of 2 office blocks. The first is a 5 storey insitu RC framed structure built into the sloping site with 7m high retaining walls to the rear. This building was also piled due to a mains sewer running under the footprint.

    The second building is 3 stories high with load bearing masonry and insitu RC floors.

    A glulam framed building with exposed steel cross bracing and elements of structurally insulated panels for stability.

    The visitors centre has reached the finalists of the 2007 Prime Minister's Better Public Building Awards and received the sustainability award for the RICS Pro Yorkshire Awards

    Mey House Offices

    Location:Poundbury, Dorset

    Client: Woodpecker Properties

    This project is a 5500m2 office development with underground parking won the 2008

    The main structure was formed using a steel frame with composite floor systems.

    A contiguous piled retaining wall was required at one end due to the close proximity of the building to the existing road.

  • CNC Sunseeker Building

    CNC Sunseeker Building

    Location: Poole Dorset

    Client: Sunseeker International Limited

    This 13.7 metre high building consists of a single storey steel portal frame superstructure. The columns were designed with fixed bases to limit deflection and keep member sizes as small as possible.

    Due to the ground conditions (generally fill) the foundations were piled with an insitu concrete ground beam/slab solution. A passive gas venting system was also incorporated in the sub structure.

  • Westover Toyota Showroom

    Westover Toyota Showroom

    Location: Bournemouth, Dorset

    Client: Westover Motors

    This building consists of a steel framed structure with deep steel lattice trusses spanning the full width of the building and to the external columns supporting the metal clad roof.

    The trusses also support the mezzanine floor thus allowing the ground floor showroom to be internally column free.
